May was a difficult month for me in the weight loss arena. I wasn't able to get outside and garden or walk as much as I wanted with all of the rain. I didn't stop exercising but I think I physically do more if I am outside. It just doesn't feel like work then. I am down 3# for the month. I was shotting for 5 but I'll take the loss where I can get it. At least I am not gaining.

Yesterday, my Molly dog was so sick. I was actually scared. Her temp was 104.4 and I was praying so hard that it would be something fixable. She is 11 years old now and at that age, anything can go wrong. Well, the vet was able to figure things out. She is on antibiotics and today she is like a new dog. You would think that as a nurse, I could deal with a sick dog but I turn into a blithering idiot. When my own pets are sick I become unable to think clearly or rationally. I am just SO thankful that Molly is recovering. She has half my heart. My other dog, Goose, has the other half. LOVE LOVE LOVE my pets.

I am off the next 2 days. The rain is gone at least for now and the hubby wants rhubarb pie. My goal today is to make pie and not eat any of it. I do love rhubarb though. This will be a great challenge for me. Please all say a prayer that I am strong against the pie demons.

And if any you are really taking prayer requests, please pray that we have wind and heat here in NE Iowa. We haven't gotten any crops in yet with all the rain this month and my farm family is one big stress bomb.
