Well, tonight was kind of a wash. Apparently, my mom accidentally purchased the theater tickets for April 4 instead of the 6th. They won't offer refunds or exchanges. The new restaurant we tried was no better. They originally did French Cuisine and decided to transition the restaurant into something more pub like. I don't mind this at all, but it became extremely obvious the staff didn't quite have it together as they waited 20 minutes to get me a cocktail, which was nothing spectacular, brought the appetizer AFTER the main course and claimed they had burned the crustinis, and they didn't even have a dessert menu. The hamburger and red potatoes were good, but nothing noteworthy. Put it this way, our waiter ended up with a $5.00 tip from me, which was worth the amount of effort he provided.

It's so rare I get dressed up and go out, at the very least I thought I might catch a pic of the outfit I wore. I wish Mom had a fun night. We all made sure she didn't incur the cost of any of tonight's debacles. And, at least I can say I am VERY FULL, well fed, and still have much to be thankful for. If anything, it gave me a good excuse to get dressed up! :-)
