So, had surgery on my knee Feb. 15th and all is going well on my recovery. Problem is, for three to four days prior to my surgery, I stress ate. Or, better stated...I binged. I gained 6 pounds in those few dew days. Here I am, almost one month post-op, and still trying to play "catch up." I have only lost 4 of the 6 pounds I gained. Why is it so easy to gain, and so hard to lose, sigh. This is the point where I would normally give up. But, not this time, I am going to keep with a calorie deficit and wait for the results to come to me. Simple scientific logic tells me that with the amount of calories I am taking in, and with my current weight, I eventually have to lose the pounds. I WILL NOT QUIT!

I always wonder about the numbers. Conceivably it takes a 3500 deficit to lose one pound but then I read of people who gained 5 pounds over the weekend and the math is mind boggling.

FullaBella I agree. How can I gain 6 pounds in four days then take a month to lose it. I think many times those big gains over short time periods are water weight and I bet about half of what I gained was water weight too. Still, the weight is not wanting to budge lol.
