I had fried chicken last night for the first time in over 6 months. I also had cake. I am prime example of what happens when you go to a party and "lose control", but I will rebound I always do. Not gonna let it get me down. 3 pound gain can make you feel that way, but I have found it comes off easier the second time. I hate when you realize you just undid a month's worth of work! But like I said, not gonna get me down. I have to find that balance for me and my baby's sake. I know I blew it yesterday in a big way, but I fortunately don't have those parties much!

When it comes to special occasions/parties, I eat whatever I wish. With the "goal" of moderation, of course. When I stick to my diet on such occasions, I find afterwards that I regret not having a piece of cake or fried chicken. Then I have an overwhelming craving for junk food!! I like the saying: A little bit of everything, all of nothing.

Funny, I did the same thing last night. There was no dessert so that was good but I ate mashed potatoes loaded with sour cream and milk and lots of butter. mmmmm. So I got on the scale and was up a pound but like you I'm not gonna let it get me down. Just get back on track and move forward.
