Well, a happy Monday to our community! We have rain, thunder and lightening, which meant Toby, our cocker spaniel, slept with us, as he is very frightened of thunder and lightening, so we gave him some pills to calm him down. I will fast most of the day, today. May, just go back and hit the sack. Everyone, have a great day!

I've had a few pints of that "everything but the..." pretty good stuff. HEB has a store brand, Creamy Creations Caramel Pecan Turtle that's excellent. I don't do Blue Bell, never really cared for it, but the whole listeria thing really put the nail in the coffin and really makes it hard for "true Texans" to deny that they should probably find another favorite brand. I don't do ice cream very often these days, once every couple of months, tops, but when I do I'm pretty partial to a peanut butter cup Blizzard from Dairy Queen.

@Phil, the thing I miss most about living in Texas is HEB! I worked there, and shopped there my whole life, Kroger has nothing on HEB lol

HEB is my main grocery squeeze, I'll cheat on HEB occasionally, like for corned beef brisket, I buy that at Wal*Mart, and a few other odds and ends, but my heart belongs to HEB. lol

I recently went back to Texas for a couple weeks, came back with a suitcase packed with all my favorite sauces and HEB exclusives! Kroger is a sad comparison lol, Food Lion isn't much better.

Kroger has some products I like, their Private Selection canned smoked jumbo oysters are unbeatable, and their diet soft drinks aren't bad (HEB's are better).

Wow, looky all the comments as I slept! Chica, the girls were after this guy like I couldn't believe back in '72! Lol I should have posted his picture from LaVerne and Shirley! He didn't last in my place very long. Too many parties! I wasn't even there very often. I'd come home, and the place was destroyed, and he'd say, "Where the heck you been?" I was hanging at my parents house. He lived a crazy life, I can tell you. His credits are "North Dallas Forty", "Starsky and Hutch", "LaVerne and Shiley" etc.
