Hello, community and a happy Sunday to all! I would like to focus my journal on eating disorders, as it seems more and more younger people are visiting this site to become very thin. Some of the links I will post could be disturbing, so just be aware. I will begin this post, and build on to it, and any suggestions are welcome. Have a great Sunday! A friend of mine and I came to the conclusion that we had the opposite of anorexia in that we could not "see" how fat we were. Eating disorders are complex.

Interesting Trackin, that is exactly what I was taking from this. Trying to find a good weight seems to be difficult for so many.

A year ago I couldn't deny the fact that I was fat, but I did minimize it in my mind, "Oh, I'm not that bad. Oh, look at that guy over there, he's bigger than me, I'm alright." etc, etc. We all have distorted self-image, whether that's awfulizing our weight one way or another or delusions of grandeur, it's a concerted effort to bring oneself into touch with reality.

I got on the main site to see the pics Warren, it's a very sad reality that takes many lives way too young. I hope the folk that suffer get some relief through a hard journey of counseling and recovery. A best happy Sunday to you!

@Trackin. And it's not just a problem for those of us who are fat. "Bigorexia" is rampant in the bodybuilding community. Google - Rich Piana bigorexia....

Thanks Suzy, and I agree that we all struggle with our unique diet situation. I believe we need to find what foods, and meals work for us as individuals. Having a healthy lifestyle is what we are all striving for in our lives. The shooting is a sad fact, that seems to be an ever increasing issue. Have a great day and night!

Insanity. Shooter born in Afghanistan. They'll no doubt try to paint it a hate crime. Like that shooting on the military base that they called 'work place violence'. Isis has apparently praised the action.

The shooter's father says his son was very anti-gay and he believes that the attack wasn't religiously inspired.

Of course it's a hate crime when you shoot up an LGBT club. It's also an act of terrorism. They're already calling it both.

I think all crime has an element of hatred in it, so calling something a hate crime is kind of an oxymoron and since there was an arrest in CA at a similar get together, and they are stating that they are not related...seriously...these guys have coordinated planned attacks down to an art-form. Divide and conquer, this is an effort to divide our country even farther.....we are already doing so much infighting, we are doing their work for them.
