Hi there. I am also starting my plant based diet. I have been Vegetarian for nearly a year, nut now moving to a vegan diet. I feel so much better on a plant based diet!! Sorry I cannot help you on how to add a photo - just joined today!!  

In the "Record a Journal Entry" dialog, it's the sixth button. It looks like a landscape. 

Deborahg382 I will paste the instructions from my last journal for being able to post a photo to your own journal. Hope this helps. To post pictures in your journal, you must sign up for free image hosting. I use Photobucket and or here is the address: http://photobucket.com/ With photobucket you upload you photos then click to view your uploads individually. Once you have successfully uploaded a photo, you click to view your upload. Once you see your picture, to the right of the page there is an option that says direct. You copy the address to your uploaded image, then click the image icon in your journal. You will see to tags after clicking it. It will show img img. You then post the address between the image tags.
