Wow. Almost 2.5 stone lost. Took me a while.. but it’s worth the wait. Feel lighter, healthier. Sleeker and slinkier. Far more confident when I pick out my clothes. I feel sexy again. Now..When my husband tells me I look nice.. I can believe him! But it’s all really about how I feel in my own skin. I recognise myself again. I’m doing right by myself again. And that’s the best feeling of all. I didn’t give up. I won’t give up. I will maintain what I’ve a achieved. And still enjoy beautiful food, just continue to make good choices.

Thank you guys! ✨ It’s been a journey! I think everyone’s different, but if there’s anything here that can help someone, that’s great!✨ For me its been watching my carbs and portion sizes, whilst still eating most of the things I love. Replacing the extra potatoes I’d usually have with extra Mediterranean roasted vegetables. Finding healthier substitutes and learning how to use them too. I love bread SO much, so finding warburtons danish bread (only 68 Cal’s a slice and low sugars) was a game changer. I love cheese, so switching to fat free cottage cheese for a cheese fix with crackers has been so good. And using fat free yogurt instead of crème fraiche or cream in cooking. A revelation! I love a creamy butter chicken curry or mushroom stroganoff- and thanks to fat free yogurt it tastes just as good with the 80% less fat :) I also gave up red wine for a while- replacing it with vodka and soda as my treat. As wine is (unfortunately) so high in sugar and calories. I still (try to!) limit myself to a couple of glasses a week. I hate exercise, but I love dancing and yoga, so I’ve been trying to do that a lot more often. I think it’s good to find a physical activity that you enjoy so you won’t avoid doing as much. I have never been comfortable at the gym- especially at my heaviest. I had to find something I could do alone at home, so dancing, weights and yoga with my music in my headphones has been my go to. It’s been about accepting myself as I was..so I could love myself enough to do better. And not being too hard on myself while trying my best to get to where I wanted to be. All the best x

These are all great tips...........and what I like the most is that they are sustainable, you can eat like this going forward and not feel like 'on a diet' just healthier choices. Really well done!

My go to bread is Hovis Nimble 55 cals a slice. And for cheese I buy pre sliced Edam or reduced fat cheddar for portion control.
