Planks are hard. I managed to stay only 20s in a full plank and less than a minute on a half plank.
It’s funny how I didn’t think much of it when I could do 1000 crunches in a row. It was a given, wasn’t it. Now to the 3x 1m hold plank goal.

I while ago I stumbled upon a weight loss that has been sitting on my shelf. Today I grabbed it to read. Yeah I don’t really need it - I’m doing already pretty much everything they listed; drinking tons of water, eating veggies before other food groups, journaling, writing down what I eat and believing I can do it.

What I AM going to do DIFFERENTLY than what the book proposed is my weight loss goal. I’m not striving to lose 2lb a week. I’m striving to lose 1lb a week. I won’t be in maintenance within a year. I’ll be in maintenance in 3 years for now.
Now THAT is realistic. And you know what, 3 years is ok. It looks like a long time but it’s been at least 3 years I’ve been stuck in the same limbo. And with my chronic pain issu slow and steady will be an enormous loss.

Being healthier at 40 than in my 30s will be a HUGE accomplishment. And the major motivation is not being pain-free or healthy; that’s bullshit. That’s just anger and resentment against reality. I want to feel hot. That’s it.
