I reached my goal weight today after five months on FS. Twenty-two lbs, not a lot compared to some of the inspirational heroes on fs. At 73 yrs old and I finally have a normal BMI. It took 30 years to do it and that is my fault. When I was young I felt losing weight is no big deal, hey I'll hit the gym, and drink lite beer, my girlfriend's chubby too, so what, I feel good. And then, each year I gained more weight and became unhealthy, with HB pressure, pre-diabetes, cancer, radiation treatments in which I still gained two lbs, and now the lower disc in my back where compromised Forget about the gym I could hardly get out of my chair, The good news is I was able to change all this with a healthy diet, my cancer is in remission, my BP is normal, my sugar levels are normal, the disc in my back is much better and I am back riding my bicycle. I thank the people at fs for giving me the tools and inspiration to recover my health, so hang in there and don't take dieting and weight loss for granted as I did, you can't outrun a bad diet or father time
