Good morning. I am journaling from the gym this morning, in between sets.
Did the body scan. While I am off from my best, I am not as bad off as I feared.
Weight. 215.7lbs
%body fat. 28.1%
Skeletal muscle mass. 88lbs.
Not fabulous. But not as bad as I feared

Goals
Get %bf below 20%
Weight to 205.
Make sure I don’t injure myself after a long absence from the gym.

Lol. I hope your nickname is Daddy Manatee ‘cause you like manatees. They are awfully cute. Otherwise, I don’t manatee reflects a good body image. 😂 Then again sailors thought they were mermaids!

how do you do a "body scan"? I'm new to this and that's an unfamiliar term to me.

Patricia A body scan is something at my gym. It’s like a scale. I stand on it barefoot takes my weight then I grab these handles and it does a scan and reads body fat muscle mass etc. I have heard they can be done at sone health food stores but I have no idea if that is accurate.

Hana Daddy manatee is a name my kids gave me when they were little. It’s a spoof of a cartoon called veggie tales. The cartoon would have silly songs and one was called Barbara Manatee. Then the kids discovered daddy fit nicely with the tune and one day in the pool they started singing Daddy Manatee and it’s stuck. I was perturbed at first because yeah, a manatee isn’t the best body image but it’s turned into something really fun. And I’m not a sea cow, I’m a sea bull!! 🤪

Hana and shir I doubt anyone would mistake me for a mermaid! And I’m 110% positive I would never be mistaken for little mermee!!!
