Good job. Getting through the holidays is always so dicey. For me it is staying away from the pints.

Thanks. Holidays are for enjoying yourself and if it takes a tad longer to reach our goals then so be it. I was expecting to put some on frankly, but the memories of enjoying the festive season would have been worth it. I think I was fortunate! I intend to indulge in pink champers again tomorrow for the New Year. Have a great time yourself with your friends and loved ones and worry about the straight and narrow another day. :0)

pink champers Ha! Had to look that one up. Some kind of candy? I will have a very good time tomorrow evening. I don't stay out like. I used to. I will start to nod off if. I am up that late, but I will down a few pints and do the Days of auld lang syne thing. No idea what that mean, btw. Have a good day and we can all look forward to a good 2014.

I forget that we're two countries separated by a common language (quote attributed to George Bernard Shaw). It's pink champagne - my favourite. Auld lang syne is a poem by Scottish poet Robert Burns set to music and roughly translates to 'old times past'. The Scots are very big on New Year celebrations (called Hogmanay by them) - it means more to some of them than Christmas. And then of course they have Burns' Night in January when they celebrate his birthday. (Sorry if I'm boring you with stuff you already know or don't want to!!). Anyhoo, have a good one and I hope you can stay awake!! :0D @shakira40 Welcome to this side!! Have a happy new year.
