I have noticed you are vegan. I am planning to reduce my animal products significantly, as I feel it has a lot to do with heaviness and lethargy. What changes have you noticed since you have transitioned and has it had anything to do with your weightloss Thanks

Hi Body! I'm vegan because of random and weird food allergies. THAT SAID, I have definitely noticed a change in things like inflammation and low grade and constant indigestion. I do feel like I should say here that while I think reducing animal products is good for anyone, it's also not a quick weight loss solution. I was 220 lbs as a vegan so there are definitely unhealthy ways to do it. For me, focusing on long term and sustainable changes was what worked best and has led to a 95lb loss. What I normally tell people is instead of thinking about food as a "subtraction" thing, look at it more as an "addition" thing. Just add more plants (fruits and vegetables) and you'll notice that you start reducing the things that are calorically dense and not as optimal for your overall goal. The TL;DR is: Calorie in vs calorie out is always going to be the best way. Focus on long term and sustainable changes.
