Weekly 36-Hour Fasting

After yesterday's journal entry, I thought I'd post an update to mention that weekly 36-hour fast number two was another success. I know it's early in this second weight-loss journey, but in addition to using this weekly one-day fasting method for weight loss, I'm also really looking forward to trying it as an occasional (or even regular) tool once I reach my target weight — i.e. to catch myself early if I notice my weight creeping up — assuming that the effects remain positive.

Daily Time-Restricted Feeding

BTW, I do like (and try to use) the idea of so-called "intermittent fasting", i.e. restricting calorie intake to a certain time-limited window every day, and I try not to snack after supper (especially when focused on losing weight), but life gets in the way, and I can't be strict enough all the time to stick to the schedule every day. Granted, on the average day (for me), time-restricted feeding (a more precise name for it) is not that different from simply eating when I normally would and not indulging after supper, which is a good goal and perfectly fine if it works for you, but for me it's easy to slip up or just get knocked off track by an unpredictable schedule, and I don't want to let my weight, health, and perception of my progress be negatively governed by these normal life events.

Conclusion

So while I do try to stick to time-restricted feeding, this new (to me) method of a weekly 36-hour fast along with moderate calorie restriction for the rest of the week is more my jam, at least for now, and maybe for a long time to come.
