Hi Tina. I know.. when I was dxd I admit I was upset. I'm already challenged with FM but I'm on metformin and using diet and exercise to regain control. I'm doing really well by cutting out grains and low carbing. And yes, this time of year can be challenging. A good support system can make all the difference:) I sent you a buddy request. 

Thank you for the feedback Ruby. I have done really well at cutting the carb intake since being dxd end of September. It's what has helped me loose the weight. Unfortunately, I have family history on both sides, so it was inevitable that I got diabetes. But I will continue on this path in hopes of getting off meds for the rest of my life. I was logging food for a while as my first step. I am now comfortable with what I am eating and feel that I do not have to obsess everyday with what I eat. Actually however, what I need to do is eat more! I tend to not get hungry and will skip snacks or dinner all together which is not helpful. It's funny how if you are eating the right things, the more you eat, the more you loose! At any rate, thank you for the buddy request. We can all use as much support as possible. Happy holidays! 

Sounds like you're doing fantastic Tina and thanks for the add. I'm living in a apartment complex with several retired diabetics. Personally, I want to keep all my toes, both feet and would prefer not requiring a wheelchair or kidney dialysis. My mom passed away a few months ago due to complications of diabetes.
