Me too! 

heheh! I wish you all the strength you can muster to get back on track! lol. Tomorrow I'll still be out, I just don't know about the day after tomorow heheh. I'm curious to what the total damage will be heheh. 

I know what you mean - every holiday seems to have overeating as a vital component! I will do my best to mitigate damage. Happy 4th! 

heheheh. To tell you the truth, we don't celebrate the 4th of july here in Portugal. The reason why I'm eating out these days is I'm helping a friend moving to another house ;) But Happy 4th of July!! 

I absolutely LOVE Portugal. I spent time there a few years ago. I was mostly in Cascais but saw Lisbon and drove up to Porto, tasted Port wine up there. The Douro river is beautiful. The coastline is amazing. And I also loved Sintra very much. Beautiful country - fascinating history - and the nicest people in the world. Very dignified and respectful people, I thought. I have often told people it is one of my favorite places in the world. Where in Portugal are you?  

When I wrote that people in the US felt so much nicer than I was expecting, I really meant that people in the US felt so much nicer than I'm used to here lol. I know it may sound strange but it's true. I've even had strangers on the street or in other places greeting me which is very very rare here for me :) 

I never thought about it that way before, but you have a good point. Every place I go, I am excited and joyful, and I have been to many countries and I have always thought everyone was so nice. I have had really great experiences everywhere. I enjoy your insight and experience. I hope some day to drive from Lisbon to Cascais and Sintra again. It is very beautiful and I feel drawn to return. I am so glad you were treated well here. As you know we have our bad guys too. Thanks for the fun discussion.
