Another good week. Not many food issues. I'm more than pleased with the 4 lb loss. Will write more today after I have my morning coffee.

Just some thoughts to share. Weight loss is a lot like the stock market. We shouldn't track it every day as there will always be ups and downs. The stock market is a long range investment... and so is weight loss. Water retention can drive you up a pound and then you despair. I only weigh in once a week, and I feel this averages out my roller coaster. This keeps me excited as I always want to anticipate what my loss will be. I do keep my dinner the night before weigh in as light as possible...lots of veggies.

I also eat something every two hours. A stalk of celery suits me fine. I rarely feel hungry. Breakfast at 8, snack at 10:30, lunch at noon, snack at 2:30 and dinner at 5. I prepare my weeks eating menu in advance and stick to it about 95%. As of 7:30 am I have already posted my days eating. I will edit it tonight if I have substituted anything, or strayed from my plan.

Someone wrote this morning that this journey is about you. I find that there are lots of conflicting opinions about the food, the exercise and a host of other things. Do what feels right to you and your abilities. Portion control is something lots of folks fight. I personally use only a salad plate. Our large dinner plates were retired last year. I keep my eye on the goal, and not the daily voyage.
