I’ve been stress eating BIG time. We moved our sons from the apartment they got evicted from; our youngest son was accepted into an “Oxford House”, and provided he stays sober he has a place to live and isn’t homeless. We’ve spent the last three days cleaning and repairing their apartment so maybe there’s half a chance we’ll get our $1,000 deposit back, and my back is threatening to go out. Had a fight with my beloved husband Sunday night over our sons... made up later that night, but I still stress-ate in response (hence the last sleeve of Trefoils, the cheese curds, and the chocolate cookie dough/Reese’s peanut butter cup concrete in my diary). So my official weigh in day is Thursday morning, but I thought I should own up to the “damages” so I weighed myself this morning. I can’t believe that I didn’t gain; and I really can’t believe I lost .2, either! I’m also so thankful that it worked out for finding our sons places to live. Now I can breathe—at least until the next crisis, lol! Thanks for listening, dear FS friends! 👍🏻😘

Music and dancing is a great idea! Especially since it’s pouring down rain here all week. So I can stay inside; blast some jams; wiggle! wiggle! wiggle! And have my 2 dogs and cat look at me like I’ve totally lost it! It’ll be fun—thanks!😊🎈

Oh my— you know this situation will not get better as long as you are literally and figuratively cleaning up their messes. Kids are such a huge source of angst for us parents. At a point, tough love is required. I wish you the best of luck in dealing with this. Don’t let their addictions continue to feed yours.

So sorry this grief is part of your life. It is so very stressful, it is understandable that you binged. I had so many problems with my son, and it's heart breaking. We want all good things for our children, and seeing them make poor choices, is so sad. Eating sweets cause us to just be more stressed. The better you eat, the better you will be able to tolerate the stress. I am praying for you for courage, rest, good sleep, wisdom, tolerance, and discipline. It's so very hard. My heart is with you.
