yay, the weight is coming off again!!!! i have until the end of this month to lose the brunt of the weight and try to get as close to my goal as possible in order the leave 2 months to get my wedding dress altered. i am worried that if i continue losing weight, that the dress won't fit right after i get it altered. has anyone else had to do this? how much can they alter a wedding dress. mine is a corset bodice lace up and i think that might be it's saving grace when it comes to altering it. I am wondering if i should get them to alter it smaller (just a little bit though) since i know i am capable of losing the weight?

If it actually laces up you have a lot of leeway. Have them fit it tight because you are in the down swing of weight. I lost about 2 inches two weeks before my wedding just because of stress, so my dress would have been too big if it was tailored, but mine was lace up and the waist was almost sinched in all the way, but it fit like a glove. Lace-up is the perfect wedding dress for someone who is losing weight. However, the lady at my dress shop said it is very difficult to alter lace-ups, so get as close to the right size as you can. Go on Atkins maintenance so you don't gain the weight back in the meantime.
