I haven’t been logging my weight because I think my scale is different than the doc office. But I will say that it read 105 a week ago, which was my goal for 6/1. Since then, I have been on a free for all as far as my diet goes and I hate the way it makes me feel physically and mentally. Ever since I quit drinking alcohol in October, my sweet tooth is out of control. Any advice on how to satisfy the cravings without sending my hard work out the window is appreciated.

The only way that works for me is to treat it like an addiction, going cold turkey! I am at that point where I seldom have extra sugar but I do eat fruits. I don`t even have honey. However if my favorite sugar treat is right beside me I can`t control myself. I don`t have any in my house and when my children were young they had a treat once a week. I care too much about their dental health. The less sugar I have the less I crave it.

That makes sense. Perhaps I should treat sweets the same way you do and stick to fruits. I suspect it’s going to be a tough transition. Lol

When I was on the low-calorie diet I would eat cereal when I crave candy. My favorite was froot loops - just 3 or 4 of those sweet crunchy loops...they are basically just carbs and sugar but they really hit the sweet spot. I think it's a good alternative to candy and you can eat a whole cup of them throughout the day for 110 calories.
