Today was such a mess. Due to many medical issues I had all my teeth removed today. I ate nothing but a light and fit yogurt tonight just to take my medications. I woke up half way through the surgery and while numb, I still was very well aware of every tooth they pulled and implant the put in on the bottom arch. The anesthesiologist blew at least 10 veins and those hurt almost as bad as my face. My face and lips are so swollen. I’m hoping all the fluids they pumped in during the 1st half of surgery doesn’t show a weight gain tomorrow. For the next while eating is going to be left to things that I can cut with a plastic fork. I will be back on track and looking for good recipes that will fit what I need in both areas. Today was the first day I’ve eaten outside of my own home. My hubby’s first choice was In N Out. I checked, I definitely had enough calories left to eat lettuce wrap but then he changed his mind to fish & chips. I had to put my foot down, yes I could’ve gotten grilled fish but prefer to plan for a day to have real fish and chips. Instead we hit Flame broiler. I was so much happier with that option. Brown rice & extra veggies w/ all white meat chicken and was even able to have sauce with it. I had a gastric sleeve done in 2011 and gained back weight due to 2 brain surgeries and plenty of procedures after that. The pounds piled back on slowly over years. Not to where I was before but more than I like. Unfortunately I have heavy duty restrictions on working out. Due to the surgery I still don’t eat as much as normal so my calories are always really low. But really paying attention to the choices and keeping track of everything while a process is very helpful for me. Tuesday I have oral surgery so I may be moving to just protein shakes for a few days. I’m sure that’s gonna shake some things either up or loose. 🤷♀️😁
