Counting calories is driving me nuts, especially since I'm playing with different foods and recipes for dinner while also being busy. I've pretty much dropped keeping track of the numbers for the time being, and instead I've been focusing on portion sizes.
This is the basic outline I've been using:

It's about 1930s sizes of portions, which are significantly less than what I'm used to seeing around America. I've been eating a lot at home, and it's been brilliant. I'm going to be making myself a quick chart that I can use to check off as I go through the day to keep track of portions.

Forgot to keep track of calories this weekend while we were running around here and there. I'm getting sick of this being pulled in EVERY direction business for family obligations.
I over ate twice this past weekend. It wasn't just during the day, but at two different meals two different days. Part of it is when we are travelling, our schedule gets so out of whack I have a hard time keeping track of everything that needs to be done so I forget the things that I nourish myself with.
The good thing? I was able to stop eating when I felt "satisfied" but not "full." Still, I'm hoping that wasn't a setback.

I also added strength training in light amounts. It feels good since it's LIGHT effort, but it's still movement.
15 counter pushups daily.
Resistance band exercises for legs -- 3 types, 10 reps each a day.
I still go to massage therapy every 3 weeks which helps work out the knots I've built up, too. I'm feeling like there is a lot of good progress in the mobility sphere while I'm slowly dropping weight.

Started walking twice a week while still keeping it at or below 1800 cal a day. My body hurts from the change, but in a good way. It reminds me of progress. It reminds me of strength.
