Part 3. (Months, not minths, abive).
My current MD wants me to eat Vegan 5/7 days, with only oatmeal, quinoa, amaranth etc. for grains, and if I need/want fruits, stick to dark berries (not strawberries - too high in sugars)
This is based on Dr. Mark Furhman’s diet if only 11% protein. I know folk who have list weight & regained health on this diet - but after 5 weeks, I just have not been able to do it.haven’t been able to do it, despite spending a FORTUNE

That should have been “morsels”, but after a few lines in my iphone7 I can’t scroll down very far to re-read, correct, etc.
Now I know most folks these days would say “try Keto” - was in the original one, w/0 gm carbs. Plus hundreds of $$ every WEEK in vitamins & minerals, because Dr. Atkins **knew** it was nutritionally unbalanced. 4 months later, I was really slender -, looked great, felt, well, not-so-great. Plus I started lising my hair (I was 35, female, & definitely NOT in peri-menopause
. The Dr suggested I add plain green veggies - & I stopped losing weight, still lising hair. They let me add tofu, & I started GAINING weight (still on no fruit, no starchy carbs, no starchy veggies).
In two minths (even after continuing the Atkins diet with some veggie carbs = keto diet) I gained back all I had list & then some. Plys, my trugs were 650!!! (Suppised to be less than 150!! I forget what my cholesterol was, but double the maximum.)

Back on track, or so I thought. Having fibro & chronic myofascial pain syndrome, as well as Hashimoto’s (hypothyroidism), obesity, high blood pressure-sugar-cholesterol-triglycerides, mild vestibular disorder & PAD, & fibro! Fibro! FIBRO!, I have a few health challenges (lol!).
Thought I would start out healthy today; blood sugars OK, healthy breakfast, etc. - but before I knew it I was drenched in sweat & shaking. Thought at first it was fibro, as I had just eaten 3 1/2 hours earlier. Even took chromium piccolinate .
But I checked my blood sugar level - and it was only 80! Heated up the “second half” of breakfast &/but(?) also a snack if raw walnuts-raisins-semi sweet chocolate miraels (carefully weighed).
1 tablespoon if chocolate led to a second, & a third - for a total of six!
