I am proud of myself for sticking it out for one solid week! It is a challenge cooking differently for everybody else and eating my own menu. My hope is that my family will come on board. I have noticed that I am feeling depressed and a little moody. My body is starting to scream for junk! I have been spoiled by eating whatever I want whenever I want, just because I want - but that is how I got to be so fat!!!! I am on a diligent search for healthy alternatives to my old ways. I have to relearn how to cook and it is a challenge. I pride myself on being a really good cook and I like to know what I am doing.

Today was hard. I just didn't want to measure or track anything and I just wanted something quick and easy. I just didn't want a salad. I need more options quick! Breakfast is easy and so are the snacks, but lunch is hard sometimes. I have to cook lunch for 5 toddlers! I don't have time for anything fancy. I miss mac n cheese. It is hard to stay on a budget and prepare separate meals for everyone else! A lot of these recipes have ingredients that I don't have on hand and I can't afford to buy so much extra stuff. UGH I know I can do this!!!

Down a pound! Yea! I did great yesterday, except I didn't meet my calorie requirements, I am under again. I don't know if this is good or bad. I was full, and I didn't want to eat any more!! I made myself get up off the couch and go outside and play with the dog and the kids. Had a blast. I still feel like I am obsessed with food (not bad food) because of all the measuring and counting calories. But I am getting a better picture of serving sizes. I guess after a while I will be able to "eyeball it" better without measuring everything. The big test will be the whole weekend thing, how will I do when I am off schedule? I got too busy this morning and did not eat within one hour of waking up. I did not get to eat until almost snack time! I am not used to eating so early and it is hard for me to change this routine, working on it though. Keep it up girl, you can do this!!
