So, I ran again yesterday. It felt so great!! I actually found myself craving the feeling I get running today when I was bored. I did fall off the bus a bit today, but it was also my "rest" day in my 5K program and I blame that. The other thing I've noticed is now I'm exercising I'm hungry ALL THE TIME! I'm eating 1600cals a day...I wonder if I should up it? Any insight or suggestions? Even with the running and working out everyday I'm still sitting solid at 182lb. Could this be because my cals are still the same and my body is worried I'm going to stop feeding it? lol. Any insight would be great!
When I ran yesterday I was able to finish 2 miles in 32ish minutes. Of course, only 1.5 of that was jogging, the other .5 was walking but I still feel like that is really significant for me! My goal was to finish my 5K in 45mins, but I'm thinking 30 may be a better goal as it will actually challenge me!

It took me 40 minutes, but I just ran 2 miles! Okay, so really I jogged it, but still! I'm so excited! It felt absolutely awesome and it makes me so much more motivated to keep going and see how much better/faster/further I am able to go!

I know it's cliche, but I think adding in my WiiFit is helping me feel more energized already. I put in another hour on it today! I was sore this morning, but forced myself to do some different exercises so as not to strain anything but to still get in some exercise.
In preparation for this 5K I'm going to attempt, I found an 8 week training program to follow. I'm going to start that June 27 (as the 5K is August 28) and use the next month to get to the level that the program wants you start at...running 1.5 Miles! Which I know there is no way I could do right off the bat. So, tomorrow I'm going to hop on the treadmill and see just how far I can run, or more realistically jog, at a comfortable pace without dying. This way I am at least really aware of what I'm starting from today and I can track every small improvement as well. I'm really pumped and motivated right now...let's see how long it lasts!

Spent an hour on the WiiFit today for the second day in a row and third time this week! I'm really going to get into this. I've actually realized I "feel" better already, just after the moderate "up" in my activity level. Once I get through finals, my goal is to start jogging/running and swimming more often, and at least 3 days a week.
I've also decided I want to run a 5K. I know, lofty goal I've got for myself! The one I'm shooting for is on August 28th, so that will hopefully give me a fair amoutn of time to get ready for it. 3 months is a pretty solid training schedule to run a 3.1 mile race, in my opinion. Both of my parents are marathoners so I'm hoping I've got the running gene hidden somewhere under that extra weight! lol

I'm still 182! And I expected to balloon because this week is every woman's FAVORITE week of the month (catch the sarcasm?). My new WiiFit Game came in the mail yesterday, so I'm going to break it open and try it out today! I'm so excited!
I've had a rough week diet wise, but I'm just so happy to see I've stayed consistent at 182. It just reinforces that I can do this on my own and maintain a healthier weight for my body!
