Hey, it's working! Starting to think about vitamin supplements, because I'm drinking so much water. Magnesium, potassium...I'm going out to lunch with a coworker-Chinese-salty broth-and fatty duck.

Good morning! I can feel a difference today around my waist:-) Also, I'm not hungry anymore. Just a week ago, I felt like I was reaching for a snack every couple of hours-reaching for carbs-LOL. My craving are subsiding and I just don't feel as hungry-not half as hungry. On top of that, my energy levels are good.

Down my first 3lbs. Cravings for carbs have diminished; however, still having fits of sugar cravings. When I stopped smoking cigs a few years ago, I started eating more ice cream. Even thought I gained a lot of weight, I'm so glad I stopped.
I've been having trouble with increasing my fat- so I bought 100% unsweetened cocoa powder, unsweetened coconut flakes and coconut oil. I mixed it together over low heat with 3 drops of Stevia. it's in the fridge cooling. But, I think I still need more fat for the day, so I've added salmon and avocado to my dinner. But, I must admit, I don't like the taste of all of this fat-too rich.
Does anyone have any advice for increasing fat without the rich taste? Suggestions on increasing fat without carbs in general. Thanks! Y'all are awesome!!

Do I want a "cheat" day? Ummm...No! Come on Natasha, you've only been doing this for four days. The sugar cravings will go away-eventually-really-right?
This morning I woke up to smell of coffee and cinnamon buns. I should be proud-I was tempted, and walked over to the other kitchen counter, and grabbed two blackberries. I popped them into my mouth, as I headed out of the kitchen.
"mom doesn't eat breakfast until eleven," I declared-my family all sitting around the table. "Go ahead, enjoy those beautiful round sugary deliciousness'."
I've asked my family to forgive me for being distracted. I have internal conversations-battles (non stop). But, I'm pushing through it. I come here to read about what others are up to and get out of my own head. Today is particularly more difficult because it's icy and I can't leave the house.
It's only been four days; it feels much longer.

Today I have been searching for something to hold on to-something to make me feel better! I'm reading a lot of interweb-ketosis information, and setting personal goals. It's not been easy-this is day two of low carbs (52g). I realize that this is over the 50g recommended for Ketosis; but, like I said this is day two. I have also been eating between 11:00 am and 19:00 pm and my calorie intake is at 40% deficit. This is my first time on a strict diet; I usually eat a lot of carbohydrates and sugar has always been my friend. I don't feel hungry per say; but, I am cranky and I've had a bit of a dull headache. My energy levels are good-but I'm not exercising yet. 1/4 cup of walnuts equal 200 calories?!
