Ok so it's day 13 of Induction and all still going strong!!
Tomorrow is Week 2 weigh-in and the scale isn't showing much movement, but I'm sure that's because of the huge loss I had last week. Just need to dig in my heels and hope for another big loss in Week 3!! Only 4kgs to go to be under 110kgs so here's holding thumbs!!

How lovely to have a nice cool day for a change, its been so hot here..
Bit stressful today for me as I dropped my son off at his first day of High School that kicks off with orientation for the day followed with a sleep-over tonight and he gets collected tomorrow morning.I think a new school and new environment is just as nerve-wracking for the parent as it is for the child.
I am a bit protective(as a single Mom with only 1 child can be), so instead of eating my stress and worry as I normally do, I am going to focus on being busy at work and keeping my mind distracted then going for a long walk on the beach with the dogs this afternoon. I'm sure the endorphins from the exercise will make me feel better too.
Week 2 weigh-in on Wednesday and I'm still in full ketosis and 100% on plan so I'm hoping to get under my first mini-goal of being under 110kgs by Week 3.
Then my next goal is under 100kgs and after I'm out of the triple digits I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!!

So proud of myself! I managed to get through a week-end of visits to markets and cafe's and even had dinner at The Beverly Hills Hotel last night and stayed 100% on plan
The secret is to eat a filling breakfast before you leave home and then keep 'legal' snacks in your hand bag to have in case you get hungry.
I also went shopping with my Mom and seeing all the lovely clothes for smaller sizes just made me even more determined to get rid of this weight once and for all!!
Made a delicious vanilla shake - vanilla extract, carb free milk and ice into the smoothie machine... very refreshing!!

So I made it through another week at work - remembering that I am a chef and food is always around me to tempt me!!!
But it is definately from packing my lunch box with a planned meal for the day that has kept me on track with my eating.
I was so thirsty last night when we were out shopping so I had a Coke Zero.. Wow did I have a terrible headache and then woke up feeling yucky. I guess my body does not like artificial sugars..
Made a delicious carb free Mocha Coffee Shake - coffee, carb free milk, some stevia and ice blocks into a blender.. so yum!!
Off to the Shongweni Farmer's Market tomorrow to get some lovely home-grown organic veggies for the week.

So thrilled!!
I found some amazing products in South Africa to supplement my eating plan - Low carb Lifestyle SA - they have low carb bread, wrapps, pitas, soups, etc etc and are amazing.
The bread is 2.1g per slice and is delicious - made with almonds, sunflower seed and linseeds.
I made delicious scrambled egg and bacon on toast for supper, soooo nice to have a slice of toast and still be 100 percent on my eating plan!!!
