I kind of fell off the south beach wagon yesterday. Our colleagues held TWO going away parties for us (one in the office at lunch, one at our boss' house at dinner) and I had not enough veggies and too many carbs, for sure. Lunch included sandwiches on bread (although it was good bakery whole wheat), and a small piece of some super fudgy cake!! At dinner I had two small glasses of red wine, some white rice, and a bite of ice cream. Funny, but the cake and ice cream were way too rich and I didn't enjoy them much. The bread was delicious, though, and I enjoyed the rice.

All in all it wasn't a horrible deviation, but definitely a 'treat' kind of day, I guess. :) It didn't seem to add any weight to my current 144 plateau, maybe it'll show up later. Dunno. Anyway, back on track today.

I think most of us fall off the wagon once in a while, but looking at the big picture, your weight loss is progressing. Looks like you'll be at the beach before your goal date :)

It's great though, that you can just take a SMALL piece of cake, or have just a BITE of ice cream. THat right there tells you just how well you are doing! You didn't choose the LARGEST piece or go back for seconds! A little here or there won't hurt you. It might not allow you to loose any weight, but it won't make you gain either. You are doing great! and your blue line is getting closer!!!!!
