I've gone from being "morbidly obese" (14 years ago, when I topped out at 302), to being "just" obese, and have stayed there for several years. I just checked a BMI Calculator and found out that when I get to 191 pounds, I will move to the OVERWEIGHT category. I'm 206.5 right now, so that's only 15.5 pounds to get there. Since I have lost 13.5 pounds since January 1, 2018 (less than 5-1/2 weeks), and I am down 41.5 pounds from where I was on January 1 of LAST year (2107), I’m sure that I can accomplish that goal within 6-8 weeks. So, I’ll be watching these scales to know when I’ve hit that MAJOR milestone. (NOTE: I have not been under 195 for at LEAST the past 20 years.)

In order to get into the “normal” range, though, I have to get down to 159. I got married at over 33 years ago, and weighed 135 at that time (I was 5’8” tall then; now, I’m only 5’7”). My first year of marriage, I gained 30 pounds, then added 30 more with my first pregnancy and another 20 with my second. A GREAT weight for me back then was when I was able to get down to 175!

Getting to 159 is a VERY challenging goal, and I’m not even sure I want to go that low. For now, my goal is set at 175. Once I get there, I’ll evaluate whether I’m satisfied with my appearance and health, or whether I want to continue down. If I have TRULY established a Low-Carb, High-Fat lifetime way of eating, my weight may just keep on going down anyway, so there really won’t be any decision-making necessary. Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s down in pounds we go. We stash our fats and slash our carbs, heigh-ho. (think 7 dwarfs!)
