Intermittent fasting? Do you still have your keto tea or coffee? Or do you consider it breaking a fast? From what I have gathered if it is less than a certain amount of calories it is still fasting... I am just curious to see what others do and are up to.

You need to stay hydrated on a fast, but drinking some beverages is OK, long as it is not a nice milk shake, enjoy the keto coffee bomb..You can always taper off as you get more accustom to the fast..Enjoy the journey

@DO N OK, thanks. So far I am, I have been trying different hours of fasting, pushing myself, but also listening to my body, different meals to break the fast and different beverages to stay hydrated! I also quit drinking coffee about two years ago, but miss the aroma, so I add one full coffee bean to my tea when it steeps, just so I can sniff it 😉

If it has no calories, I drink it during my I.F.s (Intermittent Fasts).

@mdh918 I plan to drink only water for a week, and see how it changes things. I plan to take before and after pics too. I have auto immune issues and I do believe it would be beneficial to do only water.

I drink coffee, tea, or water. Depending upon the time of day and what I'm doing. Nothing added to the coffee or the tea for me...

I drink black coffee or water. Nothing over 5 calories.

I don't drink coffee or tea during my fasting window, however I can't have them without sweetner, milk, ect. I do drink Monster Ultras if I need a little extra kick, they are sugar and calorie free and surprisingly good.

If it has calories, it is breaking the fast.

I drink only water on my fasts and intermittent included. I think when you have broth, coffee, etc it's called training wheels.

On fasting days I have 2 cups Black coffee, 1-2 8 oz glasses iced green tea with mint and a pinch of stevia and the rest water. I also take my usual vitamins and minerals.

So m'lady, as you can see from the replies, you need to tailor your IF fast liquid intake to what suits you best.... with an IF, there is no pass or fail. It's what works best for YOU! Experiment with them.... You have time, this is a marathon, not a sprint.

I'm not her acolyte or anything, but often suggest taking a look at Leanne Vogel's site and YouTube for XX-specific keto pointers. Emulating keto methods that work for XYs can be hazardous for metabolism and hormones. She encourages adding even more to coffee than bulletproof does. Might be of interest to you.

Thanks @crankybuzzard that's basically what I read and have researched online, all bodies and journeys are different. But being new here and to this (only on week 5, but down 17lbs 👍) I figure I should look for insight from the experienced not just the interwebs!
