I ate chocolate last night, but today I have forgiven myself. Furthermore, I have taken the opportunity to review my actions of the evening. I have learned a little about triggers and how eating a little something makes we want more. A little jello, redi-whip went to a lot of chocolate. One taste done me in... made me want more... I know that I can live my life without chocolate that it is not required in order to live. Furthermore, I have informed myself that while indulging in chocolate it is only a temporary sensation, while walking with head held high and full of confidence is a lasting impression not only on me but others as well. So, I am comparing it to smoking, it has been a year since I quit and I have not had one slip, because I am afraid I would become addicted again, so I have to deploy this philosophy to eating sweets as well. I am sick and tired of being stalled due to my own choices.

I'm so proud of you for quiting smoking. Not for just you but for others around you that had to breathe in the second hand smoke. I have the same problem. I eat a little piece and then I want more. So I just stay away from it all together. Eating right is a life ling journey & so hard to always do. Its ok to slip up every now and then. Its actually not good to always stay away from something you like. I set one day aside that what ever im craving i can have. Like I LOVE starbucks.. so on saturday, if I meet my goal.. Im gonna get me a frap!

You have to get to know your trigger foods. Mine are sweets as well one is too much and a hundred is not enough.
