Monday, already the end of January! I just got back from my surgical consult. The sonogram showed two things, gall stones and a fatty liver. He recommended I have the gall bladder out, but first I have to have a cardiac consult to make sure it's safe to have general anesthesia. I'll call for one tomorrow. As for the fatty liver, he said that would take care of itself as I lose weight. On the bright side, I haven't had any twinges since the first attack. I could go the rest of my life without another, but the Dr said it's better to just go ahead and not wait for complications to develop. I'm VERY hungry, so I'm going to go make some dinner and a loaf of bread.

Awesome on the decision to do it..you won't regret it I am sure..and as for the liver I am sure he is right about that too..after all you have lost guite a bit..Good luck with the other test...Love and Hugs...:O)

Heather, they will unless, during the surgery, they run into adhesions or some other unexpected problem. Since I've never had any other torso surgeries other than a tubal ligation, I wouldn't expect there to be any. They are doing it in the hospital instead of out-patient because of my age and other risk factors. I'll be in at least overnight.

Bren, love and hugs back. It's funny how attached you can get to people just knowing them on the internet. I never understood internet dating and romantic connections until now. I've really grown to love a number of my buddies without ever meeting in person. :-)

I do too, Di. I have to get approval from the cardiologist first. I'm hoping that doesn't entail a lot. I woke up this morning having twinges and couldn't get back to sleep. I want this done as soon as possible. Thanks for visiting. Big hugs!!!

Glad you got the consul and are getting things sorted out. Good luck on the rest of that journey, as well as on your continued weight loss journey. Losing weight will benefit us all in so many weighs. We're hear for you!
