well I'm back a lot has changed i was taking care of my mother she had ovarian cancer she lost the fight DECEMBER.21, 2016. It's been a roller coaster ride her and I were inseparable she willed me the house because I took care of her left my job to do it and I'm not married she wanted me to have a roof over my head . well now my brothers and family have disowned me because of this . My brothers are very well off own several homes it's a heart breaker no excuses I have gain 16 pounds since last on , now I have goals get a job and lose weight for my health ankles are killing me . I love this site such good support from community . Joanna

Sorry for your loss. Your Brother's are probably dealing with guilt for not being there for her the way you were! Hopefully they will open their eyes and recognize their grief and you all find peace.

yes i think my brothers do feel guilty fo9r not being there , But some people can handle it and some can't . I just know it was what God wanted me to do !

Hang in there! Nothing separates families like money! You took care of her, where were they? Be good to yourself you deserve it. I too have an elderly mom I take care of. You will get there, it's all frame of mind.

So sorry to hear about your brothers. They should be supporting you and not angry because your mother cared enough to try and repay your kindness.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Family can be disappointing is surprising ways. Sometimes time makes family relationships better. I hope this will be the case for you. I'm glad you are here again and ready to take care of yourself.
