Doing something other than my stated intention is a bit unsettling, but the circumstances warranted it.

My employer asked me last night if I would like bagels for the QI meeting this morning. I replied that I was stopping carbs because I was ready to start losing weight again. She replied, "Okay! That's good! I will count them out, then."

This morning, when I arrived, they served hard cooked organic eggs and fresh fruit. This was extremely thoughtful. I enjoyed one egg and fruit at 9:30 am, and ate a second egg at 11:30 am.

These are wonderful women. I am so very lucky to work for them. Also, they repeatedly tell me how grateful they are that I work here, that they feel confident enough to take extended vacations.

Sounds like a great working environment. I think it makes you work better and of course you enjoy it more . My Head of school used to put on staff well- being days ...what a joy ! It's so nice to get on with your colleagues who appreciate what you do 😜
