The blood testing strips are so expensive, that this one time expenditure seemed like a reasonable investment in my long-term health. 

I never heard of it but hopes it works for you. Let us know. I still use the strips and cut them in half. 

I used the pee strips after a 24 hr fast in which I was LCHF in the weeks before and it showed a medium amount of ketones (i had energy all day). The strips are not accurate that is for sure. I have not found a correlation between the strips and when I lose weight that is for sure except that they always show at least some ketones while I am LCHF, unless I went off diet and ate a bunch of carbs. good luck with the Ketonix. 

People have said that is the BEST way to tell. Have you ever read the book "Keto Clarity"? You would like it. 

HCB- I have it on Audible. I listen to it every few months to re-energize my efforts. That's what persuaded me to finally break down and buy the thing, so that I can actually track how I'm doing on ketone production. I'm hoping it will help me figure out my actual protein and carb tolerances, so that I can fine tune my diet. It's been a bit wonky and unproductive lately.  

I listen to Jimmy on Audible, too! It helps me focus when I am losing track of things. 

And sometimes the news while I'm driving is just too depressing!

I use the the pee strips too and while the are not completely accurate, I was still able to get a rough idea of where I was at. I did notice a slight difference that related to my weight loss. They are better than nothing but I am interested to see how the breath analyzer works for you as I might be interested myself. 

Apparently, the longer you are in ketosis the less accurate the strips become, because your metabolism changes. Jimmy Moore strongly recommends breath or blood testing. I'm going with the more expensive, less painful option! 

Regardless, its cheaper then these weight loss programs charge! good for you ; ) 

I was thinking of getting one of those when I switch to Keto. I am somewhat colorblind and the peestrips are difficult to interpret. Let us know how it works!
