Had an 18:6 day today as my first food was a surprise birthday lunch for Nick at Miller & Carter and we didn't start eating until 2pm (my last meal finishing at 8pm yesterday). Didn't feel famished and desperate to eat but I did enjoy the food without feeling guilty, though the sharing nachos plate was not as nice as expected, and I wouldn't choose that again.

Having decided to have a 'dry' January (even though it's my birthday in a couple of weeks, so no prosecco...what a martyr!) I had Pepsi Max and asked for a jug of iced water, and continued to drink sparkling water when home.

As there are no preset calories for M&C meals here (and I have also checked elsewhere online), I have pretty much had to pick the nearest equivalent to what I've eaten, and think it's a fair assessment.

Depending on how I feel tomorrow I may have a KeeDiet pack & Atkins bar day. After the big meal today I might give my digestive system a bit of a rest and start working my way through the many packs I have resolved to use this month.
This time tomorrow we shall see if that is indeed what I chose to do :)

I estimate for pub food too. It is better than just avoiding the issue.

Yes, I agree with Jocko about estimating, far better to log it . But I don't know about having a dry month for myself as I love Prosecco!!🍸 I wish you every success as you are doing very well since November ✔

That's one thing I like about myself...I am meticulous about recording everything I eat and drink, and I find I spend ages searching the different food groups to get the correct breakdown for my food logging. I'll find a quicker way to do this as time goes on I'm sure! Yes, Prosecco is my drink of choice, Doobrie and Mrs M but as I am going up to Scarborough the first weekend in Feb to celebrate a 60th where there will be bottles a-plenty, I will feel quite virtuous having an alcohol-free January, and my first glass then will taste delicious!

I'm sure it will Anjian! I do exactly the same as you - search the web, etc, and sometimes have to end up choosing something similar on FS. It's far better than not recording anything, although if I'm really stumped I have an entry I call "food and drink" the values of which have been taken from a bad day and I just put that in sometimes (rarely).

What a good idea Doobrie, having a 'food & drink' entry, don't know how I'd go about that but would rather log than not.....I need to track absolutely everything so I can look back and have a mini food-debrief with myself if I feel I'm not where I want to be weight-wise! I look at other people's meal choices to give me inspiration, and will especially be doing so once I properly start following a LCHF eating plan.

Anjian - this is what you do. Write down the total values of a day when you've eaten a lot - fat, carbs, protein, fibre and calories. Go to the page My Food Diary, scroll down and on the right you'll see My Custom Foods. Click on Add Custom Food. Click on Own. Type in Food and Drink as the product name. Click on 1 serving. Enter the values you wrote down, ignoring the entry Metric Serving Size. Enter a Tag (doesn't really matter what as this is only for you). Click on Don't Share. Click on Save. After that it will be listed in My Custom Foods. So when you have a bad day you can just put that into Snacks/Other.

Sounds like a good day and good you avoided alcohol as planned. Best guess is better than no recording when it comes to your food diary as long as you remember that's what you did. All the best for the rest of the weekend!
