hey everybody!!! I'm new to this and I'm not sure how to use it exactly!! I put 20# as my goal weight loss but its really 80# I just figured small goals first!!! I'm trying to loose weight fast as I can without gaining it back does anyone have any diet suggestions for me??? I. all ears and all feedback is VERY appreciated!!! Also I see on here it says calories burned and I haven't entered any exersizes yet and it says I've burned like two thousand something...how is that correct??? please help me understand...I really want this to work!!! thanks everyone!!

Hi M.Jae and welcome! There are lots of diet plans working for lots of folks here. 1st suggestion is to spend some time on this board, check out the journals of some folks that you find inspirational who have lost weight and plan to incorporate /try some of their tips. Ask questions and almost everyone here is wonderfully helpful. If a drama pops up, just ignore :) I personally implement a low carb high fat (LCHF) plan. I am middle age and have done the diet thing with varied success for what seems like forever! I seem to be able to stick with this. There is a ton of information on this plan online/pinterest/facebook on how it works. 2nd suggestion would be to l0g all of your food. I do best when I actually follow my own advice here! It is easy to get sidetracked and procrastinate and before you know it time has gone by and I haven't lost any weight. What type of diet plan have you tried/or interests you?? Oh, the calories burned includes your rest time, sleep automatically so it starts with a base amount, I believe.

Welcome! For me low carb is the only way I can lose without feeling like I'm starving to death! Other people have more success with other WOE (way of eating). Of course the best WOE for you is the one you can live with! Gotta stick to it. And when you backslide don't throw in the towel. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and get back in the game. Welcome M.Jae. I agree with all comments. There are many ways to lose weight and the best way for you is what works for you. I definitely agree with Becca on making sure to log all you eat. That actually keeps me on the straight and narrow and then I know what I am doing. I am going away this weekend for a few days and I have already started to log what would work for me on the trip. We will be in a hotel, so have looked up their menus and am trying to figure out for the dinner what would be best for me. Another thing I have learned is that it is not a diet, for me anyhow. it is a lifestyle change for me. It is fun once you start seeing the weight come off, but don't get discouraged if you have times where you don't lose, that is normal. Good luck and welcome to FS!!
