We woke up to bad news this morning. I had been hunting for one of my cats for the past two days, he missed meal times and he NEVER does that and I have been worried. I was sitting on the porch this AM drinking coffee and when the wind shifted I smelled the odor of something dead, it was coming out from under the steps. We could not get under there to see so we grabbed shovels and dug under them and we found our sweet Yukie. Hubby thinks he might have been bitten by a rattle snake. Many tears for our sweet boy, out of all of our cats he was the most tolerant of other species and always showed an interest in saying Hello to the different wild life that pays our yard a visit. He will be missed by all. I had to call my daughter and tell her the bad news, he was her cat and she had to leave them with me when she moved to Nevada 6 years ago. I hate to hear my daughter cry, at least she got to pay them a visit in February.

Oh I'm sorry to hear that, very sad news... Cats are like best friends, but he lived a great life with great family!

I'm so sorry for your loss! I do agree with Warren that the best thing you can do is to adopt another, especially a senior kitty that might not otherwise has a chance at a forever home.

My daughter would make me do the same thing, call and Skype her at college so she could talk to her kitty. When she comes home from college, her kitty runs to her squawking loudly. Her momma is home!!! Love between animals and their humans is so precious <3

I'm sorry for your loss Debra! I actually teared up when I read this post and looked at the pictures. We lost one of our cats about a year ago, and it reopened a small wound. Ok, who am I kidding, it's a huge loss! I know your pain. Our beagle, that thinks she's a poodle, is getting up there in age and feeling it lately. Pretty sure she won't be with us a whole lot longer so BOY is she getting even more spoiled than she already was.

Oh Debra. I am so, so sorry to hear about your poor kitty. I only had one cat and he lived a ripe old age of about 20 years old. I don't think they ever leave us. Their spirit is strong. Big Hugs!
