Ick, well I have cause and effect on this uptick, fluid retention. It's down from where it was on Monday though, I was up 4 pounds then so it is somewhat improved. Hopefully we will see a whoosh and a reduction down below 200 next week. It really is my fondest wish to be be in Onederland by the end of June. I think I will make it! Despite all of the downsides to having a TOM, I still take it as a positive result and a sign that my hormones are re-balancing in a healthy manner. You guys keep keeping on and have a fabulous day. Be good to yourselves and keep up a flow of positive energy, it not only improves your health, it's the true path to happiness :)

petragannon, make only a small amount in case you don't like it. I don't even measure. I just mix in a medium size spoon

I don't use any sweetener either, I get a small jar with a lid, fill it about half full of melted coconut oil and about 20 drops of peppermint oil, then I dump Aluminum-free baking soda on top and stir it in till it becomes a thick paste, then I dip my brush in and brush daily, I love the way it makes my mouth feel, fresh and clean @Suzy, the best thing I have for brain whoosh is sleep my friend.

I'll try your toothpaste. Thanks. I've just been brushing with coconut oil. It leaves my teeth white and clean - and it's a disinfectant.

Erika, I have read about people doing the oil pulling thing where you swish the coconut oil around in your mouth for 15 to 20 minutes then spit, me myself, I can't swish for that length of time, for me the baking soda scrubs off all of the plaque and other residue, my teeth feel smooth and slick and the peppermint gives it a nice zing!

I love these remedies. I have to take inventory of the oils I have. Homemade toothpaste sounds great!!! Deodorant is next? I want this recipe!

The recipe for deodorant is very similar, minus the peppermint oil Mom, I use pachouli or bergamont and a few drops of lavender and lemongrass. The deodorant will irritate you for a couple of days until you develop tougher skin under there, the baking soda is a wee bit abrasive, you can also add arrow root to it, I just don't have any so I have never tried it.
