Hey buddies!!
I have officially graduated from nursing school! WooHoo! So excited to be done, and I can't believe it's really over. They gave out five special awards after the diploma's were handed out and I received three of them! I was the 2016 Valedictorian, nominated into the National Technical Honor Society, and received my school's award for Clinical Excellence. I am so proud, but more importantly my husband and family that could be there were blown away by my accomplishments. What a feeling!
I am also officially hired at the acute care hospital. I filled out all the paperwork today and received my picture name badge. Nervous and excited to start my new job in a couple short weeks.
But wait, there's more. A bid my husband and I made on a house has been accepted. I'm trying not to get too excited but it looks like this might be it!
Went out for a celebratory dinner last night and ate more than I should have, especially in the carb department, but I'm trying to get right back on track today. Vacation next week.
So life is moving at rapid pace, as always, but I am so blessed for all of the positive points in my life right now. I worked my ass off in nursing school and stayed humble the entire time. To receive so much recognition, especially in the face of those who tried to bring me down was priceless. Worth every ounce of effort I put into it.
Hope all is well with my buddies!
