Day 4... so tired/mopey today, but only because i didn't sleep much at all last night (relationship BS going on, ugh). But my weigh in showed a little drop in weight (yay) and I still forced myself to get up and do a little cardio and a good 3 mi. walk in the fresh air. Made it 19 hours in my IF and had a really yummy/satisfying lunch. It boosts my mood to be on here and read everyone's stories and chat with buddies... but I didn't work at all today (I do websites from home). Speaking of buddies, FS won't let me add anymore. Anyone know why? What is our limit, or does it have to do with how long you have been signed up??

Sorry about the sleep/ relationship bump...glad your fitting well with LCHF and IF :) It's really working for me also! About buddies...It's crazy but if you request or accept too many too quickly it restricts you!! Try again in an hour or tomorrow :) Oh, and what fatbomb are you going to try? (What a name right?!?!)

Good luck in relationship land. Been single for 11 years. Lol. forgot what RELATING to females is all about. Besides you ladies of course. ALSO, a side effect of IF is decreased need for sleep. When your body is burning Ketones, it needs less down time to recover. I know it sounds stupid, but I RARELY sleep more than 6 hours a night. I fall asleep about midnight and BAM right at 530 or 600 I am UP!!! It has to do with your body adjusting to Ketosis. You will get in a pattern. I am happy to hear you are adjusting well. And tell your old man he needs to mind his P's and Q's so one of us handsome fellas don't try to come snatch you up.

I appreciate the encouragement Knuckles! And that is good to know about the sleep and ketosis. Once I fall asleep, I am usually good to go all night. Just did hours of tossing and turning last night before I dozed off. I'm saving room in my food intake for a glass of red wine tonight. Hopefully that will help! LOL Speaking of ketosis, I think I have to go get some of those little pee sticks. I don't even know if I'm IN ketosis. My carb intake is averaging about 10% and I think that is too high to be in ketosis, right? it has been a long time since I read up on this, I just kind of jumped in again blind using what I remember. Not so smart, right? :O

Just keep an eye on your Carb intake. It should be under 30 Grams total per day. If you stay in that range you are almost guaranteed to get into ketosis.

Knuckles... look what I found: http://keto-calculator.ankerl.com You were right on!... my calculator results say 30g carb (9%), 70 g protein (20 %), and 109 g fat (71%) will keep me in ketosis and give me about a 15% calorie deficit.
