I had a great epiphany during my walk last night. I have determined that God has the power to make each of us healthy, but he wants us to take the journey to health. We all have different needs and we all have different battles. While, my current battle is obesity I am learning how to overcome and beat this disease. I truly believe God wants us to fight this battle in order to learn more about ourselves. After all, it is all about the journey. So when we do finally reach our goal, so what's next? I understand that we will have to work to maintain our Victory, but what are we taking from this Journey. So far, I have learned more compassion about this eating disorder and how we use it as a coping mechanism. Sometimes, we don't even know what the real issue is...So, I am looking at food in a different light that it is needed to fuel the body. We need the body to live and spread God’s word each day. I am not a highly religious person, very seldom attend church but I believe in God and doing the right thing. I believe that God does not intend for any of us to be alone that we have family, friends, internet and co-workers for support. Therefore, I am committing myself to a better quality of life, weight, health wise and have more compassion for our fellow man. We each have our own unique story and we should respect each story.
