This has been a very rough week for me. My beautiful shetland sheepdog of 13 years passed away due to congestive heart failure. Six months ago she was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and was placed on medications. She occasionally had coughing, but this was related to her heart pressing on her esophagus. Last weekend her cough was non-stop. So, on Monday I took her straight to the vet and they said she was experiencing chf. He gave us the medicine we needed to get the fluid off of her lungs. In the course of 24 hours she took a turn for the worst. When i woke up Tuesday morning she was pacing and shallow breathing. I could see it in her eyes that she was going to pass. She died in my arms.....

As the days followed i allowed myself to overindulge. Due to my lack of self control and sadness I allowed myself to gain 4 lbs.
I am dusting myself off and getting back in the saddle again.
I know that this feeling will pass, but honestly my home does not feel the same and I feel depressed....allot. It's time for me to get some control of my emotions and track what i need to do to get to my goals.
