I brought my MIL from the city hospital to our small town hospital this evening. She is doing so much better and will be taking physical therapy to get her ready to go back to her own home with home health. I will sleep in an actual bed tonight! It has been a long week. I'm exhausted and going to bed NOW!

14toGo, she is still in the hospital, just one closer to home. heidij123, I was sleeping in a recliner so sleeping "well" wasn't an option! But that's okay because I wanted to sleep light enough that I would hear her if she got very restless or needed something. We had one horrible night, but the rest was not too bad. If I hadn't been there I'm sure they would have used restraints because she was out of her head and trying to take out her IVs,remove the dressing at the incision site, get out of bed, etc. Sure glad we only had the one night like that!! No sleep for either of us, and she was in so much pain. Broke my heart! I was hoping she would not remember it since she wasn't herself at all, but unfortunately she does.
