Happy Friday, my Best Buddies:

Happy Dance Friday! My trainer did my bodyfat today and I hit 27.9% bodyfat - it may not sound great, but I dropped from 29.9%, so WooHoo!
For women my age, 24% - 26% is considered "ideal" - I am going for 25% and lower this year!

I cannot stress the importance of having a WRITTEN goals list for yourself. How can one achieve without knowing where you are headed?

This month I did a lower carb percentage on my macros, lifted heavier weights at the gym, and saw the bodyfat caliper move down!

If I had not had a vision for my goals - I would not have gotten there at all.

MAKE YOUR OWN LIST - YOU CAN DO IT!

MY CURRENT GOALS:
Discuss dose changes with endocrinologist, try for lower carb percentage, lift heavier at the gym and see caliper bodyfat move down in February.

MY LONG RANGE GOALS:
Body fat at 25% or less and scale weight in the 150's or less

I am very impressed! Way to go. Keep up the great work. You are an inspiration, although I am not doing very well. myself. I got a Silver Sneakers card from my health insurance, and I was so excited I could go to the gym finally, for free and as often as I wanted. I am being treated for three little cartilage chips in my right shoulder (have had two Cortisone shots and physical therapy without improvement), and see the ortho doc Monday to discuss the possibility of surgery, which I do NOT want. Anyway, I knew when I got the card that I couldn't do upper body exercises, but I did go once and do the treadmill, leg pushes, etc. But my tight knee had been "grinding a bit when I walked, and it was getting worse, so I am in the process of getting a referral to a doctor for my knee. In the meantime it has gotten where it is too painful to walk very much, and I don't want to mess it up at the gym, so I am currently not doing ANY exercises! I feel like I am wasting the opportunity my Silver Sneakers card has given me to benefit from the gym. And I am slowly gaining weight. Very discouraging.
