You really shouldn't fast it's really bad for you you should eat 6 small healthy meals a day to succeessfly lose wieght. Fasting will make you gain wieght trust me.

Smoothieprincess, many many studies suggest otherwise. Intermittent fasting is a great way to manage cravings and control portions. Do a little research before you say things like "Fasting will make you gain weight."

I've been fasting for 5 weeks and love it, I've been losing about 2.5 lbs or just over a 1 kilo a week, I sometimes do the 16/8 and sometimes the 20/4, works for me.

I do intermittent fasting effectively most days. 16/8 or 18/6 works well.

Hey all, yeah I did studies beforehand and decided to try it. I have issues with binge eating and thought that it might help me. Also fasting burns FAT, meanwhile dieting burns FAT and MUSCLE. So as some kind of fitness person I thought it would be worth a try. As for my first try the fasting went really well and had my dinner at 8 pm. BUT - I kind of failed and binged. Not necessarily because of the fast, just because after my dinner my mother and i decided to take a walk to the store and that just happened because I bought my saturday snack already :D I will definately give it a try one more time on sunday ^^

FloridaAngel, for me I eat at 8pm, this means I'm not sitting about too much before bed, I fast until midday and sometimes later, I keep full on water, Green Tea and Coffee. After a few days it becomes easy however the down side now is I struggle to eat sufficient calories each day.
