Ok, going to try again with the update. I’ve kept calories under 1,800 a day since 3/18. In that time I’ve only lost 12 pounds. In the past month and a half, I’ve only lost 4 pounds. I started walking 6 miles a day three weeks ago and have done it every day for 21 days! Some days it has been REALLY hard, because my MIL got hospitalized 4 days ago, and I’ve been making the 40-minute drive most days to sit with her for 7-8 hours to relieve my husband and SIL. On those days, I’ve had to get UP between 11:30 and 1:30 to start walking to leave for the hospital at first light (5:30am). The situation with my daughter has calmed down, the noise level (cursing, screaming, fighting, throwing things) has gone down since we had a family meeting and told them they were all moving OUT if it doesn’t stop.

Sounds like you have your hands full. I hope things calm down soon and your MIL has a speedy recovery. Hugs. You are doing great with your plan even with all of this going on.

12 pounds in ten weeks is awesome! My trainer told me that is about as much as you can lose of fat - 1 pound per week. When you first started it was faster because of losing water weight. Now it’s slower but overall 12 pounds is amazing. For my metabolism I have to cut down to 1600 Cal’s as my weight goes down. You’re doing amazing and the walking is helping your health during this stressful time.

Struggling today! It’s already after 2pm and I’ve only walked 3 miles. This might be the day I blow it, after 21 consecutive days. What a bummer!!!

perhaps you can walk in the afternoon to get closer to your daily goal??

God bless you. Sounds like things will start to look up. Will pray that kindness and good sense comes to your family members. Can’t believe you go walking in the middle of the night. Talk about dedication. Just don’t overdo it on your knee. And be careful walking in the dark, unless you do it on a treadmill in your house.

I am reading all of your comments and how much y'all have been losing, me nothing in 2 weeks. I just started strong, but dang nothing. I've been eating around 1000 or less a day, do strength exercises and walk at night at my night job. what am I doing wrong here.
