Do you have any favorite and least favorite foods?

Warning about different brands of oatmeal:

Do not eat oatmeal with sodium in it. Oatmeal never has enough sodium to be a problem for your health unless you have restrictions, but it’s not supposed to have *any*. Oatmeal with sodium tastes worse than you can imagine. Read the darn label!

On a more positive note than ranting about foods not to eat, a good food to eat is pumpkin seeds.

Pumpkin seeds are quite underrated compared to other nuts, but far easier not to eat too many because they are so crunchy that you automatically stop at a reasonable amount. They also are high in iron, and high in protein. Yes, I know you need less protein than you think anyway, but if you are one of those people who need protein to curb appetite, it can’t hurt lol.

I do have a lot of likes and dislikes when it comes to food. But a lot more likes... since I love to eat! My tastes have changed some over the years. For instance I used to drink milk every day now i do not like it... Collard greens is a food a lot of people think is super healthy so I have tried hard to like it but I cannot do it. Eggs are one of my healthy go to foods

Absolutely. I have a lot of foods I don't like. I'm very picky. Most of the foods I like are healthy and a lot I don't like are not. I am not a fan of most cereals. Hate things like sour cream, mayo, ranch dressing, hummus, avocados, organ meats, raw fish, raw meat, canned soup and canned entrees, soy, anchovies, sardines, frozen dinners, liquor, coffee, caffeine, wasabi, horseradish, rhubarb, parsnips, raw mushrooms, hot peppers, tomatoes, raw onions, doughnuts, on and on. I'm a mesomorph and need a lot of protein. I like most seeds and nuts.

I do not care for oversalted food. So like that tip about checking different brands out. When I have my tuna I run some water over it as I find it too salty

Liv, some food is saltier than you would expect. Yes, there is too much salt in even low-sodium canned soup. The low-sodium stuff is still not a good thing to eat daily—not even low-sodium plant-based soup with few ingredients, lol! Yes, the stuff that’s not only low-sodium, but also plant-based with few ingredients, is a better choice than pizza or a burger and fries, but not something to eat daily lol. What a “health-halo” food.
