I will learn to eat fruits and vegetables I don’t care for (e.g., mediocre frozen broccoli if it’s there, as opposed to only the fresh broccoli that I crave, or asparagus even if I don’t like asparagus).
I used to not want vegetables, and at my worst in my early 20s for a brief time, not even fruit. I ate them as fuel and had discipline. Now, I love many fruits and vegetables, but if I have to eat, for example, mediocre frozen broccoli instead of delicious fresh broccoli, I refuse it, and don’t have that discipline, just new habits.
“Things get worse as they get better and better as they get worse,” lol, as in, I love fruits and vegetables now but have lost that discipline to eat what I still don’t like, such as crappy frozen, mushy ones of any kind lol, or asparagus. My tastes have changes, but I have lost the ability to change them even more or see what I still don’t care for as fuel/medicine/just nutrition.

Why? Are there not enough foods that fall under the criteria both healthy and good?

I like fresh or frozen broccoli. Raw or cooked. I like fresh asparagus. All of us have fruits and veggies we don't like and we just don't eat them. I don't like avocados, tomatoes, raw onions, parsnips, raw mushrooms, canned spinach, canned asparagus, rhubarb, bananas, fruit that you eat the seeds like pomegranates and guavas.
