“Eat your vegetables other than salad” is the adult version of “eat your vegetables.” Speaking from experience.

Salad may be the most admired and glorified vegetable, no matter what type of greens, but…you need other, not-so-glamorous vegetables too, no matter how much salad you eat.

lol! i get burnt out on lettuce. 1st trimester all i wauld eat is taco salads. Now i cant stomach the thought. I do recommend frozen veggies. they last longer/less waste. Our family favorite is corn. easy to warm up. delish with butter. Another is frozen stirfry blend!

I think I love vegetables as much as meat.. everything but eggplant. Yuck! :D

My wife and I eat large salads with mixed greens and a variety of vegetables plus a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese almost everyday. Occasionally it will contain some avocado, and very unoccasionally some chicken. But, it is certainly our "go to" meal for lunch. There is an old saying about vegetable & fruit servings that states "5 is fine, but 9 is divine". We definitely try to eat at least 9 vegetable & fruit servings per day, and generally achieve it. We also strive to have at least 30 grams of fiber in our diet each day, and will make 45-50 grams occasionally. At dinner we will have good amounts of our green & yellow vegetables, and other vegetables that are not normally in a salad. We are not vegans or vegetarians, but love our vegetables. Our variety of vegetables is not limited. We will eat just about any vegetable. Well, except me. I do not like, and will not eat "creamed spinach". Just not gonna happen. Anything else is fair game. Enjoy your vegetables.

I remembered how much it matters to eat lots of salad *and* other vegetables, and started eating lots of mini bell peppers. :) Those things are good! Nice and crunchy.
